About LTA Resource Center

Our History

Bob and Lisa Margaron began ministering as Love Them All Resource Center in 2024. They bring many years of experience and history with them to this new endeavor after serving the Stockton community through Peniel Mission.

In 1886, T.P. Ferguson laid the foundation for Peniel Mission in Los Angeles, California. A significant milestone occurred on May 6, 1896, when Peniel Mission expanded its reach to downtown Stockton, California, establishing a storefront location. It was here that a ministry specifically tailored for pregnant unwed mothers was initiated, marking the beginning of a profound legacy of service.

In the late 1950s, Peniel Missions, Inc. officially was brought under the auspices of World Gospel Mission. By the mid-1960s, Peniel Missions (Stockton) found its home at the 1500 South Sutter Street location in South Stockton, solidifying its presence within the community.

Peniel Missions, Stockton, had remained steadfast in its commitment to serving children and youth. In 1988, a pivotal shift occurred as the mission's focus evolved from the rehabilitation of adults to the empowerment and enrichment of young lives.

In October 1994, the arrival of Lisa Henson, a devoted missionary, marked a significant chapter in Peniel Mission's history. On October 28, 1995, Lisa's marriage with Bob Margaron heralded a period of joint stewardship over Peniel Mission. During their tenure, Bob and Lisa played instrumental roles in the operation and management of Peniel Mission, embodying the organization's ethos of service and compassion.

In 2023, amidst organizational restructuring by World Gospel Mission, philosophical disparities emerged, prompting Bob and Lisa Margaron to diverge from the proposed changes. Unwilling to forsake their calling to serve the underserved and underrepresented within Stockton's inner-city landscape, the Margarons embarked on a new chapter with the establishment of the LTA Resource Center (Love Them All Resource Center) in May 2024.

The enduring legacy forged by Bob and Lisa continues to reverberate within the fabric of Stockton's community, where they have touched the lives of countless individuals over the span of three decades.

Central to the mission of LTA Resource Center is the firm belief that nurturing children is paramount to fostering positive societal change. Recognizing the pervasive influence of gangs, drugs, and violence within inner-city environments, LTA Resource Center endeavors to instill a sense of hope and possibility in the hearts of the people it serves.

Through a multifaceted approach LTA Resource Center seeks to equip children, youth, and families with the tools necessary to navigate life's challenges and make informed, positive choices.

Above all, the cornerstone of LTA Resource Center’s work lies in the demonstration of unconditional love and steadfast commitment to those it serves. By embodying the teachings of Christ and fostering authentic relationships built on trust and consistency, we endeavor to serve as a beacon of hope and stability within the Stockton community.

LTA Resource Center endeavors to cultivate generations who are empowered to realize their potential, anchored in the unwavering assurance of God's love and presence in their lives.

Our Mission

To fulfill our part of the Great Commission by introducing inner-city kids and their families to Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20)

To teach Biblical principles of faith, hope and love, giving them a stable foundation to build on for their future and the tools to break the chains of generational sin.

To provide a safe haven for growth: spiritually, emotionally, educationally, socially and physically.

To teach people to take ownership and responsibility in order to live a Holy and Spirit filled life.

Our Vision

Our plan is to save one life at a time by giving faith, hope and love to those many call "throw away" kids. These are the kids who society has said have no chance of accomplishing anything of significance in their future. We know that by God's grace, anything is possible. Our goal is to impact these lives one at a time.

We believe "it is better to build a child than repair an adult." For this reason, the earlier we can begin changing the mindset of a child towards being a functioning part of society, the better chance we have for long term change. Some children are being recruited into gangs or trained to sell drugs as early as 7 or 8 years old. Intervention has to be done at an early age.

LTA Resource Center Statement of Faith

WE BELIEVE

  • We believe that both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible are the inspired Word of God, free from error in their original form, and serve as the ultimate guide for life and truth.

  • We believe in one God who exists forever in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity has their own personality and is fully God.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ, God's Son, was born to a virgin, lived among us, died on the cross, and rose again to save humanity from sin. Anyone can be saved through faith in Him.

  • We believe that humans were created in God's image but fell into sin by disobeying Him. Because of this, death affects everyone since all have sinned (Romans 5:12).

  • We believe in the salvation of the soul, which includes being spiritually reborn and experiencing God's continued work within us. This salvation is maintained through faith and obedience to God's will, which cleanses us continuously (I John 1:7-9).

  • We believe that the Church is the body of Christ. Everyone who has faith in Christ is part of this body. As members, we have a duty to live in peace, fellowship, and love with one another.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead guarantees that all humans will be resurrected: those who believe will have eternal joy, and those who don't believe will face eternal punishment. (John 11:25)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ will return in power and glory, just as He promised and as attested by angels and apostles.
